Adele Loux-Turner
Yoga Instructor

Adele Loux-Turner has been teaching yoga to a diverse array of students over the last ten years. Adele began her movement career as a dancer. After graduating with a BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase in 2001, she completed her hatha yoga certification at Integral Yoga Institute the same year. Since then, she has earned certifications in prenatal yoga (New York Yoga), postpartum and yoga for labor and delivery (Integral Yoga), and children's yoga (Karma Kids). Adele trained as a labor doula through DONA International in 2008. One of her greatest interests is working with women throughout their childbirth year. Adele's classes place an emphasis on individualized attention and her approach can be described as playful, mindful, anatomically based, and therapeutic. This fall, she will complete a two-year program of Somatic Synthesis studies at the Breathing Project, where she plans to continue studying Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga through the school of Body-Mind Centering.
